As a rule, I don't buy books. It's not that I don't read, but that's what the library's for. It's free, and I don't have to feel bad if I get tired of a book halfway through.

For some reason, I broke the rule the other day and bought myself "The Time Traveler's Wife". I'm not sure why, maybe it was the blogs I'd been reading about it. Maybe it was just 'cause I was having a bad day and wanted something to cheer myself up. Either way, I'm glad I did.

I finished it last night, less than 36 hours after I started it. It's one of those books you just can't put down. Now, I'm not saying it's the greatest piece of literature ever written (although I didn't get put off by the clunky language which is quite unusual), but it certainly got it's point across.

In short, I loved it, despite crying my eyes out on more than one occasion and just wishing James was there for me to hug. Of course, he's rated it "Not for Elin".
